Stuff worth reading
A quick roundup of other creators' pieces that I found interesting, thought-provoking, or downright creative.
Hello, friends!
Despite my homicidal urge to end the groundhog(s), we have made it through the first frigid week of February in New Jersey, and as usual, I’m left wondering where the time has flown.
As you might remember, I made a New Year’s Resolution behavior improvement this year to promote the work I’ve been personally enjoying, and that’s what this post is all about. I know I love a good recommendation, and maybe you do, too.
So, without further adieu, here are some pieces by other people that I found interesting, insightful, or otherwise entertaining. If you’re so inclined, give them a read when you’re not watching Superbowl commercials or burying your face in a bowl of queso. (Just me?)
If you have recommendations of Substack publications I should add to my own feed, please by all means let me know.
Real Talk (from me)
In case you’re working on dialogue that’s falling flat, I have a fix for that.
I put together a 55-page eBook with 15 lessons you can use over and over and over again to refine and reform saggy dialogue that’s doing nothing for your story.
Check it out on my Gumroad page. (My paid subscribers here get 50% off there— so be sure to DM me for the discount code if you don’t already have it!)

Thanks much for the tips!!! Appreciate’em!
Nice. I love Renee at Gryphon Quill. 👏👏👏
